Maishofen

MAISHOFEN,which lies just 4 kms from Zell-am-See, can combine the pleasures of the lake with georgeous countryside and impressive castles,whilst accommodation is cheaper than in its better known neighbouring resort.Weddings take place either in the local Registrar's Office or in the Castle Prielau.LIve traditional music is available during the ceremony and traditional or modern music during the evening celebrations.In the time between the civil wedding and the evening celebration,there is a choice of things for the couple and their guests to enjoy including boat rides(summer),'paint target shooting',sleigh or buggy rides in the surrounding countryside. Photography,floristry, hairdressing,make-up for the bride,and transport throughout the day are all available either as part of a 'package' or on a 'tailor-made' basis.Accommodation is available in the castle and in several hotels and guesthouses nearby.
