Vienna

Palace of SchonbrunnVienna has a specialist ‘wedding arranger’ who will organise ‘exotic’ locations for your wedding, including the Palace of Schönbrunn, on the famous Ferris Wheel, in the Butterfly House, at the Hofburg, at Palace Belvedere, in the Rathaus (City Hall) or even on an old-time tram. Most of these are based on groups of 50+, but can be adapted for smaller parties. None of these are ‘budget priced’ arrangements, but call Austria Direct for details.

There are several Registrars Offices in Vienna where more modest ceremonies may be held. They are all pleasant but formal, and many couples have been fully satisfied using these, and then ‘doing their own thing’ in the ‘city of dreams’! The connections held by Austria Direct with friends in Vienna guarantee that they always know what the local brides are choosing for budget priced locations.

Ship Wedding in Vienna

"Schlögen"The legendary river running through Vienna, which was even set to music and is Europe's second largest river: the beautiful blue River Danube with its magnificent water meadows. Weddings are held aboard the ship "Schlögen" which  presents the natural landscape of the River Danube to you all year round sailing past Vienna's most impressive building such as the Millennium Tower, the Danube Tower and the United Nations headquarters as well as past Danube Island, one of Vienna's largest and most important leisure areas.

Vintage Tram

Vintage TramThe tram is one of Vienna's most distinctive claims to fame. Horse-drawn buses, i.e. horse-drawn carriages carrying several people, have been customary since 1815. Only the removal of the city wall and moat from 1857 to 1865 and the erection of Ringstrasse provided for Vienna's first single-line horse-drawn tram which was used for public transportation and was the forerunner of today's tram.

You can book the carriages of a vintage tram for your dream wedding. The wedding ceremony is held in front of the beautiful Otto Wagner Pavilion near Karlsplatz. The vintage tram will then take you to any place you wish in Vienna which can be reached by tram.
